The first attempts to recreate microclimate, inherent in natural salt environments, lied in walls facing with blocks, cut of the salt layer, bricks from evaporated salt, application of salt plaster, room lining with cloth saturated with salt solution, etc.
However, such methods did not succeed in creating the required microclimate. Why? The fact is that the main element of the therapeutic effect of speleo- and halo-chambers is the presence of certain concentration (3-5 mg/m3) salt aerosol in them, and it is impossible to achieve such a concentration only by means of wall finishing with salt containing materials.
This problem was solved through special generators (halo-generators) that saturate the halo-chamber with salt aerosol of the required concentration. With the help of halo-generator, one can dose the salt aerosol concentration level, i.e. it is the controlled process. In addition to halo-generator, there are also used the temperature and humidity control units, that gives the possibility to create in the salt room the microclimate that matches natural one to the greatest possible extent.
Well, what about the walls facing with salt blocks, brick and plaster? Is it no longer needed? To a large extent, there is no need in it, as the required salt aerosol concentration is achieved with the help of halo-generator; however, the salt room wall facing with salt materials is still used. Why? Well, for one thing, due to natural salt cave imitation, there is created comfortable environment for halo-therapy and this helps to relax, relieve emotional stress and eliminate fatigue, i.e. the halo-therapy provides psychotherapeutic benefit in addition to treatment at physical level. And secondly, the room wall salt cover helps to maintain certain level of temperature and humidity there, it has bactericidal and anti-allergenic properties that are also important for the required treatment benefit achievement.
Here, one should note that the salt room wall facing with salt blocks or other materials containing salt really increases the efficiency of halo-therapy, however, without the appropriate equipment, saturating the room with salt aerosol, such facing is just the entourage, created with the help of unusual construction materials. That means that the halo-therapy is impossible without special equipment that first and foremost creates the required microclimate.
Visiting the salt rooms, you may be sure of the high efficiency and safety of our health improving treatment.
